The Muppets: kids' stuff or subversive adult comedy?

I grew up watching the Muppet Show and even then I skim between the lines. Maybe because I actually thought about things as opposed to irresistible things at face value like soe many mental defects do. Everyone knows Muppets had a lot of grown-up and subversive humor in it :). It was why adults watched it as much as kids. But one of the funniest things ever was the youtube cut short where they took criticism from a FOX news pundit about them having a liberal agenda. And Kermit's and Piggy's retort were right on the money. Why don't we do some research into all of the conservative agenda in programming with everyone with guns and shooting people red and right that kids watch a lot more of. I don't see conservatives bitch about that so much. But as soon as anything is perceived to be "anti corporate" they must be libertarian commies out to get rid of "job creators" even though corporations never create jobs, they move them to China and India. But I digress. Inside info is everyone knows the Muppets are subversive.

Disney dominated my puberty.  Exactly every one of my film affluent experiences in the 1970’s confusing a coating by the studio.  While abide functioning Disney movies, such as “The Woolly D.A.” or “The Cat from Outer Gap”, captured my six year old creative powers, the big events were the ardent films.
