Die Wilemer Gemeindepräsidentin Monika Kradolfer nahm am 2. Januar an den Belt-Dance-Weltmeisterschaften im Diney World in Orlando, Florida teil. Die passionierte Tänzerin gewann in ihrer Kategorie« Being considered for Dance Female Silver Novice, 50 bis 60-jährige» auch gleich Gold, wie der «Tössthaler» in seiner Ausgabe vom Samstag, 21. Januar mitteilt.

Kradolfer wurde bereits 2007 in Irland Welteisterin in der Kategorie «Outlander», musste danach aber wegen einer Verletzung länger pausieren – wegen Rückenproblemen legte sie ihre Tanzkarriere vorerst sogar ganz aufs Eis.

Dass sie heuer wieder an der Job-Dance-Weltmeisterschaft antreten werde, habe sie absichtlich nicht publik gemacht, erklärt sie gegenüber dem «Tössthaler». Zum Vocation Dance kam Kradolfer im Jahr 2004, 2005 wurde sie an den Weltmeisterschaften bereits Sechste.

Zwei- bis dreimal pro Woche trainiert Kradolfer alleine, alle 14-Tage trifft sie sich mit ihrer Tanzlehrerin. Etwa einen Monat vor einem Turnier tanzt die Gemeindepräsidentin täglich – schon am Morgen: «Ich stehe morgens umf fünf Uhr auf, tanze eine Stunde und beginne dann meinen Tag.
