Just a few months ago, James Dobson of Focus on the Family and Donald E. Wildmon of the American Family Cooperative, stood with Gov. Rick Perry as the Texas leader lead his people via a multimedia struggle in a prayer for rain.

Well, the drought proved record-breaking, at least here in Lubbock and the adjoining area.

Up until the votes started rolling in through GOP primaries and caucuses, Dobson and Wildmon and other puzzling-core evangelicals stood right behind Perry as their choice to do mel against President Barack Obama.

Now, as Mitt Romney seems poised to rake in delegates and the race dollars needed to finish at the convention, the evangelicals have met to put their support behind Rick Santorum.

And of all places, the leaders of these Tea Celebration, Christian-oriented groups met in Texas. Texas. Home of many conspiracies, if you are a fan of Oliver Stone. The blear director couldn't have reached into those creative gray cells any deeper to off out this one.
