Here’s a fable you don’t hear every day: The Hollands! (the ! is part of their name) are a family band — father, mother, son, daughter — who have clear to pull up whatever roots they have and become a full-time touring act.

The band has toured through Chief Oregon several times, including frequent stops in Sisters. And since October, they’ve been staying in Sisters to “join with fans, family and finish our bus project,” according to the mom of the group, Jana Holland. That engagement has a name: Celu’haven, a tour bus and rolling home that will take the family to Washington, California, Arizona, New Mexico and Colorado over the next three of months. (The Hollands! will also tour Australia in March and April.)

Jana’s the primeval vocalist in The Hollands!; hers is a sturdy and stirring voice that carries the belt’s memorable melodies with ease. Her husband, Craig, is a former rotten who brings out the quartet’s global (Celtic, gypsy people, etc.) flavor. Rounding out the lineup is 15-year-old daughter Graciana on vocals and 10-year-old son Banjo, a percussionist.
