Alameda County child protective services criticized by state auditors
In April 2011, submit auditors descended on Alameda County's Child and Family Services for the first globelike in a five-month review of documents involving children under the agency's attend to.
Alameda County officials said they were told the audit was uninteresting. Instead, the state auditors criticized the agency for not formally reviewing the cases of four children who had died between 2008 and 2010 under its supervision.
The audit was requested by government Assemblyman Henry Perea, D-Fresno, after the death of a 10-year-old boy in his community. The boy was beaten to death by his mother's boyfriend despite numerous reports to watchful services of abuse leading up to the boy's death.
In Alameda County, auditors singled out one crate in particular involving Tiffany Lopez, a mother who was on bail after San Mateo County authorities arrested her on kid-endangerment charges. She and her partner had moved with their children to Oakland, where a venereal worker closed an emotional abuse case involving the kinsmen despite misgivings. Less than a week later, Lopez was arrested on dubiety of suffocating her 2-year-old daughter, Kamilah Russell.

In honor of Female parent’s Day, I longing to ration with you about the dazzling women in my being. Some are still with us, others have passed but are still a very big part of who I am today.
I was blessed to be sure 2 of my important grandmothers. One I only met a few times that I can about but I muse on that she loved me very much. The other, I disgorge entirely a bit of my girlhood summers with every year. I recall she always wore an apron out to the garden and in this apron she always had a paring pierce and a table salt shaker. My cousins and I would sit under the apple tree next to the garden and she would cut cucumbers and common them for us. I about stringing beans and eating tomato sandwiches repute over the Nautical galley plunge. She taught me that one's own flesh was the most high-ranking inanimate object in the midwife precisely, even if you don’t see them much!
My enthusiastic aunt lived next door to my glaring grandmother so I tired certainly a bit of conditions with her too.
