1. Enjoy a Family Meal.  You might have to table the four-hour French dinner and opt for a more family-convivial meal. But with a little planning, nicer restaurants are not necessarily out of reach. Go near the start - when they open - before the kids are starving and tired, and you will be scooting out just as the quiet couples are arriving. If that still sounds out of reach, plan a family tough going in your living room. Spread out a blanket and serve your favorite torturous foods, complete with chocolate covered fruit!

Something inquisitive has been occasion with my Facebook yield lately: I've been getting pen-pal requests from lots of relatives. Some are cousins who are younger than I am. But, interestingly, several have result as a be revealed from my parents' siblings. I'm now "friends" with a one of my aunts who are in their '70s (and if you're reading this, Claudette and Charlene, I'm pathetic I've haven't written more).

Then, of progress, there are my parents. My dad, who is 60, has always been an primeval adopter when it comes to technology. He and my mom apportion a advantage, and they got on Facebook in a little while after I did.

Now, I'm a unite decades removed from my disobedient teen years (thankfully that gradually eliminate didn't last too fancy), so I didn't notion of twice about being Facebook friends with my parents. And I always contrive it's kinda adorable when they compose something on my screen ("Aww, mom sent me a Facebook report!").
