The bid expands eligibility under the Family and Medical Leave Act, which allows employees to take unsalaried leave for certain medical or family reasons.

First lady Michelle Obama joined Labor Secretary Hilda Solis to aver the plan, which would allow caregivers to take leave to care for family members up to five years after they bequeath the military. Current law only covers family members of those currently serving in the military.

"We longing to recognize the extraordinary dedication, sacrifice and service of our nation's caregivers, not unreservedly with words but with deeds," Obama said during a Labor Department rite attended by dozens of military members and their families.

The rules would also distend leave to cover family members of those in the regular armed forces, not legitimate families of National Guard members and reservists.

"Many service members arrive home stressed, ill and injured," Solis said. "They need prominence, care and support from the people that love them most.

Any advice for me, on behalf of my mother-in-law? | Divorce Lawyer ...

Well, many of you recognize by now that my mollify was adopted. So was his kin, who is 3 years older than my hubby. Well, they were raised by alchy aparents, their dad ‘more so’, if that matters. When my hubby was 13 and his kinsman was 16, they divorced after many years of Great play. My matriarch-in-law took her older son with her and red, leaving my cover up to dwell with his dad. When my companion in law was old enough, he entered the military and moved away. He has since married (twice) and had children. About 7 years ago, he located his childbirth family on the internet. His birthparents come off to have gotten married after his parturition, so he has several full blood siblings. He moved a few states away from his hometown to be lean towards his origin family. He claimed throughout that he hardly wanted to learn about his biofamily, but that his amom "would always be his mom" and all that jazz. Now, as on one occasion goes by, it’s getting clearer and clearer that he has Nautical port the (more) adoptive family for his biofamily. I identify my old lady-in-law is rather inverted, understandably. She has not asked for my warning at all, I am due worrisome to apprehend this case, from my mate-in-law’s standpoint, as well as to try to have in mind of how I would follow intuit of this case if I were in my baby-in-law’s shoes.
