A late event showcased the caring spirit of the Kingwood community during the duplicate annual Team Up for Team Joseph/Holley's Hope Bray Puff Football Tournament.

The December event was held at Kingwood Garden High School and honored the memory of 2008 Kingwood Commons High School graduate Christian Holley while also slated to give out as a fundraiser to help with medical bills for KPHS student Thomas Joseph Stanton , who suffered a injurious brain injury.

Holley died Nov. 28 after battling perceptiveness cancer. Funeral services were held Dec. 1 at The Woodlands Church .

With the communiqu of Holley's passing, the Stanton family stated that all proceeds would forward the Holley family.

Spirits were high to continue to support the Holley and Joseph families.

Original uniforms and highly anticipated competition were part of the day when the Kingwood softball gang captured the championship trophy for the second year in a row.

All types of Kingwood athletes from fractious country, track, soccer, softball and cheerleading were represented on the participants, while the Kingwood High School freshman band, Exit Zero, entertained the press.
